New York City-based guitarist, composer, and educator Will Peters-Seymour received his Master of Music degree (MM) in jazz performance from NYU where he studied with jazz icon Peter Bernstein, as well as Dave Liebman, Mike Richmond, and Brad Shepik.
During his time at NYU, Will worked as an adjunct instructor, teaching more than fifty undergraduate guitar students.
Before moving to New York, Will received his Bachelor of Music Performance degree (BM) in Jazz Studies from the Univeristy of North Texas in Denton where he was guitarist in the legendary One O’Clock Lab Band directed by Alan Baylock. While at North Texas he had the opportunity to play with jazz artists such as Quincy Davis, Philip Dizack, Dave Meder, and Ed Soph.
Will is an active sideman on the New York City scene where he focuses primarily on the straight-ahead jazz idiom.
